Families in Transition

Enbridge has been a proud supporter of Aspen’s Families in Transition (FIT) program for nine years. With the help of our ongoing financial support, this program is able to help families who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or otherwise affected by poverty. The FIT program works with an average of 60 families a year, offering them workshops on topics such as parenting, communication, building healthy relationships and self esteem. Supplemental services such as onsite child care, transportation and individual counseling are also provided. School-age children are enrolled in classes through a partnership with the Calgary Board of Education to ensure they receive consistent education. Throughout the year, Enbridge employees volunteer for several social events and activities in support of this program.
